I guess my question is, if we compare Lastpass side-by-side with other premium password managers (Dashlane, 1password. I do not like the way Lastpass is suddenly forcing its free users to either pay for premium or switch to another password manager, but rather than being solely driven by price, I want to keep an open mind about premium features. All this in the span of 3 years since LogMeIn has owned them. LastPass was 12 for premium, then went to 24 and now it's at 36. Especially my teenage sons are happy with it too. My initial response was to look into Bitwarden, which seems to be very capable. It's not that LastPass increased its price, its the fact that the company who bought them has a track record for increasing prices often and are now holding up to that. The free version includes everything you need, the premium subscription is only 10 a year, it is open-source, and it has a nicer interface compared to LastPass (in my opinion). Not only has no actual data been compromised, but LastPass has. As a long-term Lastpass free user, I was as frustrated as everyone else when I received the email from Lastpass notifying of the changes to the free account. LastPass Premium gives you 1 GB of secure document storage.
